Report to the Chief of Party and provide guidance to Education Department the project as a whole. Major responsibilities include training of project team; support to project team in planning & scheduling project activities and report writing; developing analytical/ process reports, presentations, and communication material; assistance in design & development of baseline studies. Assist in development & review of Education Plans. Shall work regularly with Project Management team and government officials. Work closely with counterpart in support organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing methodologies to implement project activities
  • Support Project Management team in planning, scheduling & compilation of reports
  • Assist in designing education plans
  • Responsible for developing progress, process & analytical reports, district education plans, presentations and case studies
  • Assist in developing communication strategy and material
  • Support design & reports on baseline studies
  • Facilitate networking & linkages with other organizations addressing child rights & child protection issues
    Assist in project monitoring & evaluation exercises
  • Facilitate capacity building of staff members
  • Conduct staff appraisals
  • Assist the Project Management Team in other project activities


Knowledge Areas     

  • National Education Policy, Education Sector Reforms,
  • Understanding of basic education of children & related issues in Pakistan
  • Participatory approaches, techniques & tools and research methodologies
  • M&E approaches, techniques & tools in development sector
  • Masters in Social Sciences or Education (Equivalent education in any discipline can be considered based on experience)
  • Minimum 20 years in education programming especially primary education
  • Minimum 40 years of age


  • Excellent communication, reporting & presentation skills
  • Proficiency in English
  • Command over computer skills i.e. Word/ Excel / Power Point / email communication
  • Understanding of education planning at grass roots & district level
  • Ability to manage the team effectively
  • Ability to identify HRD requirements
  • Ability to develop working relationship with government officials
  • Ability to work with children & other stakeholders at community level
