The
Second International Puppet Festival 1994 was a sequel to the
tradition set in 1992. The Festival truly attempted to recapture
the spirit of the first Puppet Festival which attracted participation
from Europe, Far East, Latin America, the USA, India & The
Asia Pacific Region, giving the Second International Puppet
Festival a bigger participation. The Festival presented more
than 200 performances in 11 days.
The Festival featured
seminars, lectures and workshops to the puppet connoisseurs.
It also featured exhibitions on puppetry by Pakistani puppets
and many foreign collections.
The Puppet Festival
was dedicated to the conservation of the environment; many performances
were specially designed on the theme. The Festival also opened
doors to visiting groups, many foreign puppeteers & visual
artists which gave them a chance to work together.
